Union minister of state for forests Mr. Anil Dave to inaugurate
Bhopal, December 21, 2016 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Union Minister of State for Forests, Environment and Climate Change (independent charge) Mr. Anil Dave will inaugurate International Forests Fair at Lal Parade Ground of Bhopal on December 20 at 5 pm. Minister for state for cooperatives (independent charge) Mr. Vishwas Sarang and chairman of Minor Forests Produce Federation Mr. Mahesh Kori will be special invitees of the programme, which will be chaired by Minister for Forests Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar. Participants from Mr. Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Malaysia – outside the country – and Bihar, Assam, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra from the country will take part in the fair. Three hundred stalls of rare herbs, collected from different districts will be installed this time in the fair. This year fair has theme of minor forests produce for human welfare. Collectors of forests produce committees of far-flung areas of the state will participate in the fair with different herbs and herbal medicines. Buyer-seller conference, workshop on preservation of minor forests produce and marketing and free Ayurveda camp will be held in the fair. Bhopalites wait for this annual fair for pure and fresh minor forests produce and herbal medicines.
The four-day fair will end on December 24. Cultural programmes will be held every day in evening. Dance on Yoga theme, by Morarji Desai Yoga Centre, New Delhi, dance drama based on tiger protection by Mrs. Sharmila Bhartari, Tom Alter Group will be presented there. Besides, cultural programme by Rani Dulaiya College, Orchestra, dance drama and entertainment programme by Radhekrishna Group of Vrindavan will also be organised.
