Fair on January 19 at Bhopal
Bhopal, January 7, 2017 (Ataullah Faizan): Digi-Dhan fairs will be held in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Dewas to promote cashless transaction. Different activities would be conducted in the one-day fair to promote cashless transaction process and create awareness in public in this regard. This information was given in a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Shri Basant Pratap Singh at Mantralaya. As per directions of NITI Aayog of the government of India, Digi-dhan fair will be held on January 19 at Bhopal, January 21 at Indore, February 12 at Gwalior, February 27 at Jabalpur and March 9 at Dewas. Common citizens would get information about cashless transaction from bank officers in Digi-dhan fairs and get detail regarding process of use of RuPay card, USSD and UPI etc. Draws of lucky customer scheme for consumers and Digi-dhan trade scheme for traders would be opened in the fairs. Facilities like registration for POS machines for traders, their sale, opening of bank accounts, registration for debit card and its distribution would be availed in the fairs. Other facilities like Aadhar registration, account linking with aadhar number, amendment in aadhar will be provided. Besides, information about e-governance, public service centre activities, e-wallet and mobile wallet would be given in the fairs.
Instructions have been issued to get participation of cooperative societies related with agriculture production, milk federation, agencies associated with higher education, school education, food and civil supplies department, national fertilisers corporation and FCI in the fairs so that maximum number of people can get training. Principal secretary science and technology Mohammed Suleman, principal secretary higher education Shri Ashish Upadhyay, principal secretary animal husbandry Shri Ashwini Rai, principal secretary cooperatives Shri Ajit Kesri, representatives of Indian Oil Corporation, different banks and national fertilisers corporation Ltd, Food Corporation of India and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd were present in the meeting.
