Health Minister Mr. Rustam Singh in ‘Hum Naujawan’ programme
Bhopal, January 18, 2017 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Mr. Rustam Singh said that youth is the power of the country. Getting inspiration from the life of Swami Vivekanand, youths should make efforts with dedication and integrity with having high thinking to achieve target. Minister Mr. Rustam Singh was addressing ‘Ham Naujawan’ programme organised by Madhya Pradesh State AIDS Control Ccommittee and National Service Scheme unit of Barkatullah University. Minister Mr. Rustam Singh said that easy measures are available to prevent AIDS and the disease can be prevented by adopting them. There are less than one percent patients of AIDS in Madhya Pradesh and efforts are on to reduce the number to zero percent. He said that more and more information should be provided to people to prevent them from AIDS. Information about AIDS is the effective measure to prevent from AIDS. Facility for treatment of AIDS is available in all government hospitals. Minister Mr. Singh exhorted youths to work with dedication, integrity and honesty. Unnecessary competition should not be made with others. They should give their best in whatever they do. He appreciated blood donation by young volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS), cashless, save the girl child, AIDS control and other issues related with awareness.
He said that many facilities have been announced by Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Students’ Panchayat held at Chief Minister residence on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand. Project Director Dr. Masood Akhtar informed that Red Ribbon Clubs are being operated in colleges. Their motives are to create awareness in youths on AIDS and encourage them for voluntary blood donation. Appealing youths to keep away from addiction, he said addiction leads to destruction. Deputy Secretary Higher Education and State officer of National Service Scheme Dr RK Vijay, Programme Officer NSS of Barkatullah University Dr Anant Saxena were present there.
