Take resolution to make mother Narmada pollution-free: Dr Shejwar
Bhopal, January 25, 2017 (Ataullah Faizan): Aimed at protection of holy Narmada river, making it pollution-free and use its all available resources, ‘Namami Devi Narmade’ – Seva Yatra reached Salyakheri village on its 45th day. Public Representatives and village people accorded a warm welcome to the Yatra in Salyakheri. There was celebrating environment in entire Narmada region especially in Harda district because of the Yatra. Village people welcomed the yatra place to place with huge enthusiasm as it passed through. Welcome gates, banner and Rangoli were made by the village people. Stuti of mother Narmada was recited at the programme in Salyakheri. Forests Minister Dr Gaurishankar Shejwar said to villagers that they should save the Narmada water from pollution. He said that not only state government but all should work together for Narmada river conservation. He said that special campaign ‘Namami Devi Narmade’ – Seva Yatra is being taken out considering the importance and conservation of Narmada river. Dr Shejwar said that mother Narmada should be worshiped but it should also be kept free from pollution. He exhorted villagers to make the yatra successful and plant more and more saplings. He said that more and more saplings would have to be planted increasing forests assets in Narmada region and avoid soil erosion. Activities would be executed after identifying them for improving ecosystem of the river. He said that public awareness would have to be created to prevent causes of pollutions after identifying them.
Former minister Mr. Kamal Patel, other public representatives and village people presented song and Bhajans based on mother Narmada. Mr. Patel and other audience were enthralled over bhajans of the Narmada. Mr. Patel administered resolution for protecting the Narmada river throughout the life to villagers. Dr Shejwar paid tributes to martyr Elap Singh’s statue. Mr. BD Sharma, Mr. Amar Singh Meena and others were present on the occasion. Narmada Seva Yatra departed for next destination of village Joga from Salyakheri. Villagers welcomed it at Joga village. Attractive decorations were made there. The yatra will take night halt there.
