CM’s address on “Sushasan Main Jan-Bhagidari” subject at Mumbai
Bhopal, January 25, 2017 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that establishment of good governance cannot get success without public participation. He mentioned that gram sabhas and panchayats should play a part of excellent units of the good governance and should implement “Apni Sarkar’ status in their working. Mr. Chouhan was addressing the “Sushasan Main Jan-Bhagidari” Rashtriya Parishad-2017 under the Rambhau Mahalgi Prabodhni Programme at Mumbai today. CM Mr. Chouhan said that public cooperation is must in the good governance. He said that institutional and all round development of Panchayat Raj System should be done. They should be given legal and judicial rights to lessen the burden of police stations and courts. Pressure on the government and administration will reduce by empowering panchayats and by their playing legal role and rural areas will get rid of administrative complexity. Mr. Chouhan further mentioned that if gram sabhas start playing the role of legislative than local diversity and dignity can be saved. Village will become self dependent. This will bring a sense of responsibility among the people and will eliminate unhappiness among them.
Mr. Chouhan said that farmers participation is must in the agriculture development schemes. He said that traditions which are being followed, such persons made the schemes that never went to the villages and never met the farmers. They are not even aware of the farming. Mr. Chouhan said that these traditions have been eliminated in Madhya Pradesh and schemes are being prepared after holding dialogues with the concerned section of the society. He mentioned that secret behind the success of Swachchta Abhiyan of the Prime Minister is that the people have made participants in this. CM Mr. Chouhan also deliberated on women empowerment.
He mentioned that he became saddened by discrimination with a girl child. We have prepared ladli Laxmi Yojna after holding dialogues with women through Mahila Panchayats. Kanya Vivah and Nikah yojna was prepared to remove the burden of the poor. Elder persons always wish to undertake teerth yatra and they do not undertake yatra due to economic constraints. Therefore, Mukhyamantri Teerth yojna was launched. Mentioning about the ‘Namami Devi Narmade’- Seva Yatra, Mr. Chouhan said that conservation of rivers and to make them free of pollution is the need of today.
With the same objective the biggest campaign of the country for water conservation and environment is being conducted in Madhya Pradesh. Awareness is being generated among the people for not to spread pollution and to undertake plantation during the yatra. Mr. Chouhan further said that Samadhan Online and CM Helpline have been started for quick redressal of peoples’ grievances. He himself redress the grievances under these system.
