Yatra has important role in rivers conservation

shukl5.2.17Bhopal, February 5, 2017 (Ataullah Faizan):  Minister for Commerce-Industry, Employment and Mineral Resources Mr. Rajendra Shukl said that ‘Namami Devi Narmade’- Seva Yatra has an important role in conservation of rivers. All the sections of the society are participating to conserve Maa Narmada and environment. Mr. Shukl was addressing the district level convention on Narmada Seva Yatra of Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad at Rewa today. He also honoured Sadhu-Sants, Temple Pujaris and Gurujans present on the occasion. Mr. Shukl mentioned that the Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has started Narmada Seva Yatra to maintain incessant flow in rivers. This is altogether a different campaign. World is watching this yatra. He further mentioned that we cannot consider life without rivers. Decision has been taken for plentiful plantation on Narmada banks to ensure incessant water flow in Narmada River.

Furthermore, Mr. Shukl said that we have to make Maa Narmada free of pollution for happiness and prosperity of future generation. We are getting message from this that awareness is being generated among the people towards environment. Mentioning about overwhelming people’s contribution to make Narmada river pollution free, he said that yatra is getting full support from the people.

Minister Mr. Shukl said that inspiration to protect rivers will be generated from the Narmada Seva Yatra. He urged the people to come forward to conserve rivers through public movement.  MP Mr. Janardan Mishra said that this yatra will spread a message in the world that conservation of rivers is a conservation of life. He termed the yatra as an effort to provide new direction to the society.  Divisional Coordinator Jan Abhiyan Parishad Mr. Amitabh Shrivastava and other office bearers were present on the occasion.
