Governor in Sharad lecture series of Madhya Pradesh Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti
Bhopal, February 23, 2017 (Ataullah Faizan): Hindi is widely used national language. As the country is moving on the path of development speedily, Hindi has important role in it. That’s why efforts to enrich Hindi language should be accelerated. Governor Mr. Om Prakash Kohli said this in a Sharad lecture series. The lecture series was organised by Madhya Pradesh Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti. Governor Mr. Kohli awarded Mr. Naresh Mehta Smriti Vangmay Samman to veteran poet and art critic Mr. Prayag Shukla and Mr. Shailesh Matiyani Katha Samman to novelist Mr. Santosh Chobey. Governor Mr. Kohli said that Mahatma Gandhi had said that Hindi is the only language which can tie the country in one rope. Seeing the rising danger of terrorism, naxalism and anarchy, there is a need to publicise more Hindi language. He said that Swami Dayanand Saraswati of Gujarat had understood the need of publicity of Hindi, even before Gandhi Ji. Swami Shridhanand Ji set up Gurukul Kangari in Punjab and prepared books in Hindi on different fields of knowledge.
Special guest Mr. Rameshchandra Shah put views on Indian art vision. He said that the conflict between painting and sculpture is needed to be understood deeply because there should not be conflict. Self power and nation’s power can not be developed without penance. Award recipients veteran poet and art critic Mr. Prayag Shukla and novelist Mr. Santosh Chobey informed about their works. Secretary of Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti Mr. Kailash Pant delivered welcome speech. Samiti president Mr. Sukhdev Prasad Dubey proposed vote of thanks. Other office-bearers of the committee, distinguished persons and literary people were present in the programme.
