Narmada Seva Yatra welcomed at Chhindgaon Kachi
Bhopal, March 22, 2017 (Ataullah Faizan): It is important to plant saplings on both the banks of the river Narmada and to protect and develop them to ensure unending flow in the Narmada. People should resolve to add to the natural green surroundings of the Narmada. This was called upon by the Forest Development Corporation Chairman Mr. Guru Prasad Sharma at Chhindgaon Kachi village in Sehore district during the Narmada Seva Yatra. The villagers present at the programme were also made to resolve towards Narmada conservation, tree plantation and de-addiction. Mineral Development Corporation Chairman Mr. Choubey said that Narmada Seva Yatra is the biggest river conservation campaign through which crores of people are being made aware of environment conservation, water conservation, cleanliness and de-addiction. State Vice Chairman of Jan Abhiyan Parishad Mr. Pradeep Pandey said that through the Narmada Seva Yatra from Amarkantak to Alirajpur since last December 11 to forthcoming May 11, CM Mr. Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan aware the people about environmental conservation and cleanliness. He termed the Chief Minister a ‘Yugpurush’ in the field of environmental and water conservation.
Sadhvi Ms. Pragya Bharti said that all the religious books give us the message of water, river and environment conservation. She said that the Narmada Seva Yatra is not a political yatra, instead it is a public awareness yatra aimed to generating awareness among people towards environment. She said that the Narmada Seva Yatra is being appreciated in several countries all over the world. Narmada is the lifeline of Madhya Pradesh. The river is quenching the thirst of crores of people and its contribution towards agricultural production and power production is known by all. Earlier, the Narmada Seva Yatra left Mandi village for Nasrullaganj development block. Villagers welcomed the yatra at Chamati, Neelkanth and Dimavar village. Women also undertook kalash yatras during the Yatra.
