Yatra reaches Bagalvada in Raisen on 102nd day
Bhopal, March 31, 2017 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): On its 102nd day, the Narmada Seva Yatra reached Bagalvada village of Raisen district. Minister of State for Horticulture and District In charge Mr. Suryaprakash Meena performed narmada kalash and dhwaj pujan on the arrival of the Yatra. Mr. Meena said that Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan had made the campaign for conservation of Narmada river a public campaign. The campaign is being appreciated in the country and abroad. Sadhus and sants of all religions are getting connected with the campaign. Mr. Meena appealed to the citizens to connect with the campaign for the purity and incessant flow of water of Ma Narmada. MLA Mr. Ramkishan Patel spoke about contributing towards conservation of the Narmada. During the Jan Samvad, Environmentalist and Magsaysay award winner Mr. Rajendra Singh said that people have received the message of respecting water and woman through the Narmada Seva Yatra. He said thatonce the saplings are planted on both the banks of the Narmada, the environment and atmosphere also will improve. The Narmada Seva Yatra is a commendable efforts made by Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He said through the yatra, the message of river conservation has gone out to the country and the world.
Mr. Rajendra Singh said that we have made Narmada a medium to flow excreta due to our selfish interests. He said that the dirty water of the cities must not enter the Narmada. Earlier, Kumbh would be organised on the banks of the rivers, but now the rivers are being polluted through ‘Karma’. Rivers belong to the state or society and saints, to keep it clean is our responsibility. Sadhvi Pragya Bharati said during the Jan-Samvad that Ma Narmada’s life is in the jungle hence saplings should be planted on both the banks of the Narmada.He said that addiction makes a society weak and a body helpless. By foregoing addictions, one should become addicted to service and devotion for society’s welfare. He praised the Beti Bachao and Beti Padhai Yojana.
