CM Mr. Chouhan urged urban bodies
E-Nagar Palika inaugural programme concluded
Bhopal, April 3, 2017 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged the representatives of urban bodies to make the cities of the state most beautiful and organized. Make such an arrangement for e-services that every citizen should feel pride in mentioning that they are getting services conveniently and on time. Mr. Chouhan was addressing the inaugural programme of e-nagar palika at CM house today. CM Mr. Chouhan said that urban bodies should take resolution for people’s welfare and development. An amount of Rs. 83 thousand crore will be spent in the next three-four years in urban bodies. A provision of Rs. 1800 crore has been made in the second phase of Chief Minister’s Infrastructure scheme. There is no paucity of funds in urban bodies. All the arrangements have been made for potable water supply in all the urban bodies under the Chief Minister Potable water Scheme. Moreover, all the cities will become open defecation free till April end. Arrangements for electricity production have been made making 26 clusters for garbage management. 8 MW electricity production from garbage has already been started in Jabalpur. Mr. Chouhan further mentioned that tasty full meal will be provided to the poor at the rate of Rs. 5 under the Deendayal Thali . House worth Rs. 8 lakh will be provided to the urban poor in just Rs. 2 lakh. Repair arrangements with 5 percent subsidy of the houses constructed under the previous schemes has been made.
Cycle rickshaws are now being converted into e-rickshaws. Economic assistance is provided to the registered labourers for kanya vivah, education and other occasions under the schemes of Bhavan Sannirman Karmkaar Mandal. Also, scheme has been implemented by the state government to bear the fee of the talented children for higher education. Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan said that cleanliness campaign has been launched in urban bodies in the state with spirit. The benefits have been provided under different schemes to 12 lakh people in Nagaroday Abhiyan. Many cities have done excellent works for beautification and making the city systematic. Urban administration department is on the top in redressing problems.
Congratulating the department, he said that mayor, chairman, commissioner and chief municipality officers will be awarded every year by the chief minister for performing excellent works. Quoting public movement of Narmada Seva Yatra, he said that the state will create new history in river conservation. The campaign will be launched in all cities. Sewage system has been implemented in 40 percent urban bodies. This will be implemented further in all cities. Urban development and housing minister Mrs. Maya Singh said that constant monitoring and better efforts should be continued so that common people get services of urban bodies without hurdles. She sought suggestions for simplifying and making better the new system. She called upon all to adopt e-system in daily activities. She congratulated officers and associate agency for portal construction.
