New development bank will assist in infrastructure development of state

CM Mr. Chouhan holds meeting with VP new development bank

lead5.4.17Bhopal, April 5, 2017 (Muslim Saleem):  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan held meeting with the Vice President of New Development Bank Mr. Xian Zhu today. Mr. Chouhan expressed gratitude towards Mr. Zhu for providing assistance in road projects of the state. He mentioned that they will work together for infrastructure development in future too. Mr. Zhu appreciated the development works undertaken in the state. CM Mr. Chouhan mentioned that assistance from the New Develoment Bank will help developing nations to become developed nations. He urged him to provide assistance in infrastructure development projects. Mr. Zhu said that working with India and state was a good experience. His bank will work with them in future also. He assured assistance to Madhya Pradesh. CM Mr. Chouhan stated that they will share techniques and knowledge mutually. We will learn from each other and will make efforts to undertake best works in Madhya Pradesh.  Mr. Chouhan further mentioned that more attention has been paid towards infrastructure development works in the state since last 10 years. One lakh 25 thousand k.m. long roads have been constructed in the state. Also irrigation area has been expanded from 7 lakh 50 thousand hectare to 40 lakh hectare.

24 hours electricty has been ensured which has helped increasing agriculture production and agriculture growth rate has become over 20 percent. Moreover, growth rate is increased to over 10 percent. Mr. Chouhan said that focus is being laid on group potable water schemes in which more surface water will be utilised. He informed that Narmada Seva Yatra has been started for river and environment conservation. He also apprissed him about the urban development works. Chief Secretary Mr. B.P. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Mr. A.P. Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Public Works Mr. Pramod Agrawal, Principal Secretary P.H.E. Mr. Manoj Govil, Principal Secretary to CM Mr. Ashok Varnval and Secretary Mr. Vivek Agrawal were present in the meeting.
