CM Mr. Chouhan in Jan-Samvad at Barela of Jabalpur district
Bhopal, April 20, 2017 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan welcoming the decision of the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi to remove red beacon from his and Cabinet Ministers’ vehicles said that he and his team will implement this decision immediately. He mentioned that officers of police and administration may use red beacon in case of law and order situation. Mr. Chouhan stated that Narmada river will be made purest river of the world with the blessings of Sants and cooperation of the people of the state. We have overcome Punjab and Haryana in wheat production due to the blessings of Narmada. On one hand Maa Narmada gives us life by its water and on the other illuminates our homes at night. Mr. Chouhan said that 12 crore saplings will be planted on the banks of river Narmada on July 2. Revenue and forest land has been identified for plantation. De-addiction campaign will be conducted in the state. He further mentioned that liquor shops will not be opened now in residential areas, near educational institutes and religious places. CM Mr. Chouhan was addressing the Jan-Samvad programme held in Nagar Panchayat Barela of Jabalpur district during Narmada Seva Yatra.
Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan mentioned that Sants are leading the yatra followed by society and government. He said that we have witnessed the decline in flow of Maa Tapti, Betwa and Kshipra. Life will not be saved if flow of Maa Narmada depletes. He told the people not to go for defecation on the banks of Narmada river. Perform last funeral rites at Muktidham, put only one pinch of ashes in Narmada river. CM Mr. Chouhan mentioned that a bill related to capital punishment to rapists will be introduced in the monsoon session. Mr. Chouhan said that this yatra is a campaign to save Narmada river and to repay her debt.
Sewage water treatment plants will be established in cities situated on both the banks of river Narmada and clean water will be supplied to the agriculture fields. He administered pledge to the people to plant trees on the banks of Narmada, construct toilets in each house in the villages situated on the banks of river and to immerse poojan material in poojan kunds. Changing rooms will be constructed on the banks of river Narmada and Muktidhams will be constructed far from the banks. CM Mr. Chouhan urged the people to save daughters and to send every child to school. Jagatguru Swami Ramanandacharya Rambhradcharya praised the yatra.
He said that yatra will definitely achieve its objectives. Yatra on reaching Barela was welcomed with enthusiasm and devotion by the villagers. Women holding kalashs on their heads welcomed the yatra. Including Children, elders, women people from all the walks of the life participated in the yatra. Entire atmosphere reverberated with “Har-Har Narmade’ Jaighosh raised in the yatra. Narmada Mahaarti was performed. Minister of State for Medical Education (Independent Charge) Mr. Sharad Jain, MLAs Mr. Sushil Tiwari “Indu”, Mrs. Pratibha Singh and Mrs. Nandini Maravi and public representatives were present on the occasion.
