CM Mr. Chouhan reviews 10 big under construction projects
Bhopal, May 23, 2017 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the updated situation of 10 big ongoing projects through video conference in the ‘Pragati’ online programme. The Chief Minister gathered information about the works being undertaken project wise by the Public Works, Water Resources, Technical Education, Medical Education, Public Health Engineering, Commerce, Industry and Employment, Public Health and Family Welfare and Revenue Department. Chief Secretary Mr. B.P. Singh was also present on the occasion. Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan said that the projects should be completed within the time limit and they should be monitored regularly. Provision of punishment to agencies over any kind of delay has been made. Work affiliated with construction should also be made uniform. He instructed to get roads affected by water supply schemes repaired mandatorily before monsoons. He reviewed the over Rs 230 crore Mardanpur Rural Group Water Supply Scheme District Sehore of Public Health Engineering Department and the Rs 155 crore worth Udaipura Rural Group Water Supply Scheme Raisen district.
He also took information about the under construction Engineering College worth Rs 20 crore at Naugaon, Chhatarpur of the Technical Education Department. He also took the updated information about the Medical College Khandwa worth more than Rs 175 crore under the Medical Education Department. The Chief Minister was told that the project will be completed by January 2018. In the review of the progress of 300-bedded hospital being constructed at a cost of over Rs 32 crore in Chhatarpur by the Public Health Engineering Department it was told that the construction work will be completed by the end of this month.
It was told by the Urban Development and Housing Department that the construction work of the auditorium and Vice Chancellor’s residence at a cost of more than Rs 18 crore in Rewa would be completed within time limit under the Punarghatvikaran Yojana. About the massive Bansujara project Chief Minister was told that irrigation facilities would be made available to 186 villages under the over 1768 crore project. In the review of the Revenue Department’s e-land records it was told that the scheme has been implemented in 210 tehsils of 32 districts. Copies of application are being distributed. Total Rs 10 crore 41 lakh revenue has been generated.
Nine out of total 17 modules have been completed; the remaining modules are estimated to be completed by June end. In Pragati online, the work of developing basic structure in 442 hectare area in Vikram Udyogpuri Limited Narwar, Ujjain by the Commerce, Industry and Employment Department is in progress. This work is estimated to be over by the end of year 2018. In this the target is to develop auto components. IT, Engineering services energy hub, medical hub and industrial training hub. It was told that the construction of Chambal Expressway will be started near Pali on National Highway no. 552 by the Public Works Department. More than 80 per cent government land out of nearly 2500 hectare land for the project is available.
