Farmers to be given training for milk trade in Maharashtra

Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan inspects Asia’s biggest ‘Gaushala’

lead4.6.17Bhopal, June 4, 2017 (Muslim Saleem):   Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that farmers should not depend only on farming. For this they will be trained for the business of milk production. Mr. Chouhan gave this information while inspecting Asia’s biggest Gaushala at Pimpalgaon in Maharashtra and the milk plant of Parag Milk Food Private Limited situated in Mansar village of Ambegaon tehsil. Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan said that farmers of Madhya Pradesh will connect with milk trade along with farming and production. For this they will be trained by Parag Milk Food Private Limited. After receiving the competence certificate, farmers will be extended every possible support by the government to begin milk trade along with farming. Chief Minister instructed officials of Dairy Department to prepare its outline. The Chief Minister said that decision has been taken to provide financial assistance to farmers of Madhya Pradesh for fruit production apart from farming. Farmers will be given financial assistance for planting fruit bearing saplings in their fields. He said that maximum saplings would be planted for water conservation and 6 crore saplings would be planted on both banks of the Narmada river on July 2nd to free Narmada of pollution. Chief Minister inspected Parag milk plant and obtained information during inspection of milk products including butter, paneer, cheese, yoghurt, flavoured milk and buttermilk.  Asia’s biggest gaushala ‘Bhagyalakshmi’ is situated at Pimpalgaon of Maharashtra. Technically, about 3,000 cows are milched thrice daily producing about 20-25 litres every day.  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan obtained detailed information about gobar gas, organic fertilizer, specific alfalfa process and promotion of new calves at Bhagyalakshmi gaushala. He also learnt about bottle plant of milk production and specific selling process.
