Union Minister Mr. Gehlot at social empowerment camp in Katni
Bhopal, June 4, 2017 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): The Centre Government is working with the mantra of ‘collective efforts, inclusive growth’. Execution has been made on historical decisions for protection of Divyang persons. Union Minister for Social Justice and empowerment Mr. Thawarchand Gehlot stated this in a social empower camp in Katni. Mr. Gehlot distributed helping equipment and artificial limbs to 1887 Divyang, already earmarked in Katni. The union minister Mr. Gehlot distributed 3307 equipment having cost to the tune of Rs one crore 48 lakh in the camp. Regarding the gift of DRDC to Katni, he said that as administration submits DPR by completing the process, sanction will be granted in a month. Minister Mr. Gehlot said that the department is generating unique ID for Divyang persons. They will get benefits of the schemes of the government of India and state governments. The union minister said that earlier only seven categories were earmarked for Divyang persons earlier and the government extended them up to 21 categories by making laws. Minister of state for social justice of the state Mr. Sanjay Satyendra Pathak said that social justice and empowerment ministry did philanthropic work like serving Divyang persons. Mr. pathak described social empowerment camp as meaningful result of Pundit Deendayal’s ideology. He said that state and centre governments are working together to bring poor Divyang persons in main stream of the society. Member of Parliament Mr. Nagendra Singh, MLA Mr. Sandip Jaiswal, Moti Kashyap, chairperson of social welfare board Mrs. Padma Shukla and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
