CM Mr. Chouhan holds open discussion with farmers at BHEL Dussehra ground

lead11.6.17Bhopal, June 11, 2017 (Muslim Saleem):  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan today had a direct dialogue with farmers. He had open discussion with farmers and various representative teams the whole day at BHEL Dussehra Ground. He assured farmers for proper redressal of their problems on their suggestions. Mr. Chouhan did all the work while on fast. During discussion with farmers Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan said that he is committed for all possible redressal of farmers’ problems. Representatives of farmers’ organizations put forth their problems in front of the CM in an amicable way. The Chief Minister heard the farmers patiently and said that the demands and suggestions of the farmers will be considered seriously and proper steps will be taken. He said to the farmers that he is overwhelmed by their support and that he respects their sentiments from the depth of his heart.  Expressing gratitude over the proposal of farmers to fast with him Mr. Chouhan said that the people of the state were like God to him and he will not let them be in trouble. He said that every breath of his was for the people’s happiness, so he is ready to suffer for them. He will stay hungry for them. Mr. Chouhan said that his fast is to bring back peace in state.

He will not allow anyone to spread violence in state and so he will continue his fast till there is peace in state because he has begun the fast for peace and let the state move ahead.  During a discussion with representative teams of farmers the Chief Minister told that arrangement has been made to provide loan for both Kharif and Rabi crop simultaneously. Farmers told that they were happy that government will now purchase onions at Rs 8 per kg instead of Rs 6 per kg. Farmers demanded opening of more centres for purchase of onions and making support price fixation system more effective.

Farmers said that support price should be fixed after regular study of the cost of state’s crops. Chief Minister told farmers that this arrangement is being made so that farmers get beneficial price.  Farmers told him about the problem of delay in payment of crop price. The farmers were told that arrangement has been made to make 50 per cent cash payment and rest by RTGS/NEFT daily. Farmers demanded arrangement of authentication of kabuli (Dollar) chana. He said that after authentication arrangement will ensure that they get beneficial price on dollar chana. Farmers told that they were happy with the purchase of summer moong and urad for the first time in the country in Madhya Pradesh.
