MoS Mr. Lal Singh Arya inspects Gurukulum

Children delighted to see Mr. Arya amidst them

arya30.6.17Bhopal, June 30, 2017 (Ataullah Faizan):  Minister of State for Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste Welfare Mr. Lal Singh Arya inspected Gurukulum after reading the news concerning Gurukulum in some news papers today. Mr. Arya deliberated with children before the representatives of print and electronic media on the occasion. He has been informed by the children that nothing has happened like what it is said. Mr. Arya after the news has immediately directed the Principal Secretary Mr. Ashok Shah for an enquiry. Incident is being investigated by the Additional Commissioner Mr. Chandramohan Thakur. Mr. Arya has issued instructions that regular health check up of all the children residing in Ashram-Shalas and hostels of the state should be conducted. Mr. Arya apprised himself and inspected all the arrangements in the Gurukulum. He also deliberated with Divisional Officer Mrs. Seema Soni, Principal in-charge Mr. Sudhir Shrivastava and Warden Mrs. Poornima Tripathi. On enquiring about security arrangements, he has been informed that woman security guard and watchman are always present in the Gurukulum.

Finding MoS Mr. Arya amid them, children got delighted and got photographs clicked with him. Mr. Arya saw arrangements in the rooms and directed the officials for arrangements of window curtains and wardrobe etc. Girls were playing carom when Mr. Arya reached hostel for inspection. He also played carom with them. He inspected class rooms, auditorium, sports room, library, entertainment room, kitchen etc. on the occasion. Mr. Arya apprised himself from the children about getting R.O. water. He was delighted to see the number of children from Betul district which is in his charge.

He directed the officials to make arrangements of writing quotations of well known personalities in the library and other places. Mr. Arya examined the quality of refreshment served to the children and enjoyed the snacks with them. He also interacted with the kitchen helper Mr. Omprakash. Some children addressed Mr. Arya as uncle and some as sir. Children were seen saying tata and good bye on his return. Incident which took place on June 26 at Government Vidhyalaya Gurukulum was investigated by the Additional Collector Mrs. Disha Nagvanshi.

It is found in the investigation that few girl students have come to the hostel 4-5 days ago and they fell ill due to home sickness and weather. One girl had a scary dream and other girls became frightened as she told others about it. Health check up of girls was conducted by the Medical Officer of Jai Prakash Hospital Dr. Neelam Gupta. Normal health related problems were found in the check up. No other incident was found in the investigation.
