Management sub-committee of Makhanlal Chaturvedi University approves decisions
Bhopal, September 13, 2017 (Abdul Ahad Farhan): Media Entrepreneurship Centre will be set up in the state capital in Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication. The Centre will work as per the initiative of NITI Aayog. The centre is considered to be an important one for entrepreneurship training for media, media management and skills in more than one medium. Decision in this regard was taken in the management sub-committee, chaired by Chairman of Management Sub-Committee and Public Relations Minister Dr Narottam Mishra today at Mantralaya. Approval was given to open the centre after detailed discussion on its utility. University Vice-Chancellor Prof Brij Kishore Kuthiala, Rector Mr. Lajpat Ahuja and Director Public Relations Mr. Anil Mathur were present in the meeting. It was informed in the meeting that training will be available at the centre, first of its sort in the country, according to present scenario. The Academic Council of the University has already granted its approval to open this centre. Action to choose experts and associate institutions for the centre will soon be carried out. Discussion was held to open a research centre in the university, considering the need of intensive research on social media in today’s meeting. It was informed there that university associate centre will be conducted in each block in the state, which will connect students with different courses. Along with this, decision was taken to promote use of information technology in different departments of the university. Discussion was also held on issues related with construction of Rewa campus, grant affiliation to new study centers with the university and approval.
