Memorials to be made in martyr’s villages: Tales of valour to be displayed

lead22.10.17Bhopal, October 22, 2017 (Muslim Saleem):  Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the form of the programmes organised in honour of policemen who laid down their lives for the sake of the country and society will be changed. General public and students will be connected to these programmes. Memorials will be made in the villages of the martyrs and their tales of valour will be exhibited. The Chief Minister was addressing the Police Memorial Day Parade Programme here today. On the occasion Mr. Chouhan said that the state government has decided to give Rs one crore as honorarium to the relatives of the martyrs. Expressing his respect towards martyrs, Mr. Chouhan said that the people of the state is grateful towards the martyrs. He said that policemen serve and protect the society by sacrificing worldly desires and facilities. They not only put their lives at stake to maintain law and order at difficult times but also help common man in times of floods, arson and other natural calamities. Society must respect policemen. Mr. Chouhan said that a programme will be held next year to offer floral tributes at the memorials of martyr policemen by ministers and students. Addressing the relatives of martyrs Mr. Chouhan said that the government and society is with them. They should not consider themselves alone, the entire state is with them. He said that police jobs are not just jobs, it is a genuine service of the society and the country.

Mr. Chouhan said that problems have been solved and Naxal and terrorist activities have been controlled.  On the occasion, CM Mr. Chouhan remembered martyrs including Mr. Balmukund Prajapati who laid down his life during duty at Chhatarpur recently, Mr. Indrasen of Raisen district and Head Constable Mr. Ramashankar Yadav who died during an encounter with SIMI activitists absconding from Bhopal Central Jail. He told that so far 35 thousand 700 policemen have laid down their lives for the country. This includes a large number of policemen from Madhya Pradesh.
