Litterateurs honoured with all India and state awards
Bhopal, December 18, 2017 (Ataullah Faizan): Governor of Haryana Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki has said that identity of the country lies in its culture. India’s culture is unique. Values of justice and religion have been put upon injustice and non-religion under this culture. Governor Prof. Solanki honoured Litterateurs with All India and State Awards for the year 2015 and 2016 in Manas Bhavan today. On the occasion, Governor Mr. Solanki released ‘Samaroh Chitravali’. The Governor congratulated the Department of Culture for such prestigious programme. Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge) Mr. Surendra Patwa chaired the programme. Those who were awarded with All India Awards included Dr. Lahri Singh (Sidhi) with Pt. Makhanlal Chaturvedi Award (Essay), Ms. Sushma Munidra (Satna) with Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh Award (Story), Dr. Hari Joshi (Bhopal) with Veer Singh Dev Award (Novel), Dr. Sadhna Balvate (Bhopal) with Acharya Ramchandra Shukla Award (Criticism) and Dr. Vidya Bindu Singh (Lucknow) with Pt. Bhawani Prasad Mishra Award (Poem). Those who received State Awards are Mr. Malay Jain (Bhopal) with Pt. Balkrishna Sharma ‘Navin’ Award (Novel), Mr. Chandrabhan Rahi (Bhopal) with Subhadra Kumari Chauhan Award (Story), Dr. Veena Sinha (Bhopal) with Sri Krishna Saral Award (Poem), Dr. Krishan Gopal Mishra (Hoshangabad) with Acharya Nanddulare Vajpayee Award (Criticism), Shree Shanti Lal Jain (Bhopal) with Rajendra Anuragi Award (Satire), Lalit Nibandh, Diary, Memoir etc.), Ms. Madhu Shukla (Bhopal) with Dushyanta Kumar Award (First work of State’s Writer) and Mr. Narendra Shrivastava (Gadarwara) with Jahoor Baksh Award (Children Literature).
Those who received All India Awards are Dr. Suresh Mishra (Bhopal) with Pt. Makhanlal Chaturvedi Award (Essay), Dr. Amita Dubey (Lucknow) with Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh Award (Story), Mr. Gunsagar Satyarthi (Tikamgarh) with Veersingh Dev Award (Novel), Mr. Bhagwantrao Dubey (Jaipur) with Acharya Ramchandra Shukla Award (Criticism) and Mrs. Anita Saxena (Bhopal) with Pt. Bhavani Prasad Mishra Award (Poetry).
Recipients for State Awards for the year 2016 are: – Mr. Jagdish Joshila (Khargone) with Pt. Balkrishna Sharma ‘Navin’ Award (Novel), Dr. Anita Singh Chauhan (Bhopal) with Subhadra Kumari Chauhan Award (Story), Mr. Sant Kumar Malaviya, ‘Saint’ (Bhopal) with Shrikrishna Saral Award (Poetry), Dr. Bahadur Singh Parmar (Chhatarpur) with Acharya Nandadulare Vajpayee Award (Criticism), Dr. Purushottam Chakravarthy (Bhopal) with Harikrishna Premi Award (Drama), Mr. Vijay Mohan Tiwari (Bhopal) with Rajendra Anuragi Award (Satire), Lalit Nibandh, Diary, Memoir etc.), Mrs. Sheela Mishra (Bhopal) with Dushyant Kumar Award (First Work of State’s Writer), Mr. Devender Singh ‘Dau’ (Bhind) with Isuri Award (Lok Bhasha Vishayak) and Dr. Kailash Gupta ‘Suman’ (Morena) with Jahoor Bakhsh Award (Children Literature).
Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge) Mr. Surendra Patwa, on the occasion, announced that Rs. One lakh will be given in place of Rs 51,000 for All India Awards and Rs 51,000 in place of Rs 31,000 for the State Awards to be given by Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Academy from the year 2017. Also, announcement was made to institute six awards for dialects by the Culture Department. Principal Secretary, Culture, Mr. Manoj Shrivastava said that Madhya Pradesh is only state in the country to give the highest 81 awards in different categories. Mr. Shrivastava pointed out a need to increase number of awards and fields. Director of MP Sahitya Academy Dr. Umesh Kumar Singh shed light on the activities of the academy. Director, Culture, Mr. Akshay Kumar Singh, literature lovers and literary figures were present on the occasion.
