Chief Minister gives instructions to officers for proper training arrangement
Bhopal, March 7, 2018 (Ataullah Faizan): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that employment oriented training will be imparted to 7 lakh 50 thousand youths next year. In addition to this, the trained youths will be linked with the self-employment. Mr. Chouhan gave clear instructions to the officers to make proper training arrangements for the youths. He was reviewing the Youth Empowerment Mission at Mantralaya today. Minister of State for Technical Education Mr. Deepak Joshi, Chairman State Skill Development and Employment Board Mr. Hemant Vijayrao Deshmukh and Chief Secretary Mr. B.P. Singh were present in the meeting. While giving instructions to the officers, Mr. Chouhan said that the entire training target should be achieved. Quality training should be imparted to the youths to enable them to establish their self-employment. He instructed for weekly review of training and for conducting regular meetings of State Skill Development and Employment Board along with the district units. He clearly mentioned that a concrete scheme should be prepared to achieve the training target. Besides this, implementation should be ensured by preparing a weekly roadmap. On the occasion, it was informed that orders have already been issued to impart training to 47 thousand 580 youths, which have to be trained this year through government institutes under the Mukhya Mantri Koushal Samvardhan and Koushalya Yojana.
These institutes include ITIs, Polytechnics and Engineering Colleges. Similarly, 25 thousand 750 youths have to be trained through non-government institutions. Moreover, it was informed that a target of One lakh 750 thousand has been fixed for the private training service providers this year. Out of this, the training of One lakh 482 thousand youths will begin from March 15. Furthermore, it was informed that the state has a target to impart training to 84 thousand 58 youths by 2020 under the Pradhan Mantri Skill Development Scheme. Out of this, 25 thousand youths have to be trained this year. Additional Chief Secretary Finance Mr. A.P. Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Technical Education Mr. Sanjay Bandopadhyaya and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
