Basic thought comes only from one’s mother tongue: Revenue Minister Mr. Gupta
Bhopal, March 11, 2018 (Ataullah Faizan): One may converse in any language, but basic thoughts come only from one’s mother tongue. This was said by Revenue, Science and Technology Minister Mr. Umashankar Gupta at the conclusion of two-day workshop on Hindi Bhasha mein Takniki Shiksha evam Vaigyanik Lekhan, Anuvad evam Prakashan”. He said that the situation of Hindi language in the current scenario in the country is not favourable, hence there is need to work more actively in this direction. The Minister said that the conclusions at the workshop should be promptly implemented. Mr. Gupta proposed the importance of Hindi through various examples. Vice-Chancellor of International Hindi University, Wardha Mr. Gireshwar Mishra said that the society wants its ‘vani’. He said that in order to make knowledge accessible to all, it is essential to impart education in one’s mother tongue. It is dangerous to give too much respect to English. Vice Chancellor Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Dr. Sunil Gupta said that mother tongue is a person’s identity.
He told that the University has both Hindi and English as medium of study. Director General Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology Mr. Navin Chandra said that due to English, hardly 15 percent talent is being utilized. But in case of Hindi as medium of study 100 percent talent is utilized. Vice Chancellor of Atal Behari Vajpayee Hindi Vishwavidyalaya Mr. Ramdev Bharadwaj also expressed their thoughts. Representatives of various states expressed their views during the workshop organized by Hindi Vishwavidyalaya. Mrs. Rita Singh from Himachal Pradesh welcomed the guests wearing a Himachal hat.
