CM Mr. Chouhan felicitates women in ‘Narayani Namah’ programme
Bhopal, March 11, 2018 (Muslim Saleem): Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the state government is working in the direction of political, economic and social empowerment of women. It will set up women corpus and provide fund for operation of Vasati Grih in private buildings of major cities for working women, abolishment of BPL condition in widow pension and pension to unmarried woman after 50 years, free sanitary napkins for BPL women, Rs 4000 at the time of pregnancy and Rs 12,000 after giving birth to child, chappal, sari and water bottle to women, who collect Tendu leaves. Mr. Chouhan was addressing Narayani Namah programme organised by a private television channel on women’s day. The Chief Minister said that he felt pain due to disparity in girl and boy. That’s why he made efforts to remove this discrimination from beginning of social life. These efforts took shape in the form of schemes for arranging girls’ marriage and making them Ladli Laxmi. From here, relation of maternal uncle was developed and which has expanded to children and elders. Efforts are on for families not to consider girls as burden. Mr. Chouhan said that power has been assigned to him for economical and social empowerment of women. 50 percent reservation is being given in civic bodies and for teachers in government and 33 percent reservation is in government jobs excluding forests department for women. Drive is underway to construct separate toilets for girls in schools. Construction for public toilets for female is underway as a drive. Efforts are on for constructing toilets for women police in police stations and houses in rural areas.
He said that promotion has been made for setting up own industry. Fifty percent subsidy, bank guarantee and interests for seven years will be borne by the state government on loan from Rs 10 lakh to two crore under Yuva Udyami Yojana. Five percent interest is paid under the scheme, whereas it is six percent for women. The Chief Minister on the occasion, felicitated rural and urban women on getting success after struggle in the life. Water Resources and Public Relations Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Home Minister Mr. Bhupendra Singh, Urban Development and Housing Minister Mrs. Maya Singh, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Archana Chitnis, Energy Minister Mr. Paras Jain were present in the programme.
